Post highlights
- Glucose Stabilizer and Carb Fence are powered by the same patented SiPore® technology. What differs is the dose, the format, and the intensity of support each one delivers.
- Glucose Stabilizer is a dietary supplement in capsule form, designed for everyday glucose stability and flexible daily use.
- Carb Fence is a medical food in liquid sachet form, designed for larger or higher-carbohydrate meals where stronger per-meal support may be useful.
- The most important rule: one meal, one product. Never use both at the same meal.
- The right choice depends on your goals, your meals, and how much support you are looking for at any given time.
If you have been exploring SIGRID's products, you may have noticed that we offer two different options, both powered by the same technology. That can raise an obvious question.
If they work the same way, why are there two? And which one is right for you?
The answer comes down to dose, format, and what you are trying to support. This post walks through both products clearly so you can make an informed choice.
The technology behind both products
Both Glucose Stabilizer and Carb Fence are built on SiPore® technology, a patented, precision-engineered silica particle developed over more than 15 years of research at Stockholm University.
SiPore® works locally in the gut during digestion. Its precisely engineered pores temporarily entrap a portion of the digestive enzymes involved in breaking down carbohydrates and fats. This gently slows digestion, which means energy enters the system more gradually and post-meal responses are more measured.
It does not enter the bloodstream. It is not a stimulant, not hormonal, and not a medication. It is excreted naturally after digestion.
That is the shared foundation. What separates the two products is how much SiPore® each delivers, and how it is delivered.
Glucose Stabilizer: flexible daily support
Glucose Stabilizer comes in capsule form. Each capsule contains 0.375g of SiPore®. The standard dose is four capsules per day, taken with the first bite of food at your main meals.
It is designed for everyday glucose stability. If your goal is to support steadier post-meal responses as a consistent daily habit, to reduce the frequency of energy dips and mid-meal cravings, and to build a more stable metabolic rhythm over time, Glucose Stabilizer is built for that purpose.
It is discreet, portable, and straightforward to incorporate into any routine. Four capsules with food, each day.
Glucose Stabilizer is a dietary supplement, available directly to consumers.
Carb Fence: stronger per-meal support
Carb Fence comes in liquid sachet form. Each sachet contains 3g of SiPore®, which is eight times the SiPore® dose of a single Glucose Stabilizer capsule. Up to three sachets per day is the maximum dose, and safety has been confirmed at that level in the SHINE clinical trial.
It is designed for larger or higher-carbohydrate meals where a more substantial level of digestive support may be useful. The liquid format means it can be taken quickly before or with the meal, and the higher dose means the effect on digestion is more pronounced.
Carb Fence is a medical food, intended to be used as part of a broader dietary management approach. It is available through healthcare practitioners and selected wholesale channels.
The key differences at a glance
Format: Glucose Stabilizer is a capsule. Carb Fence is a ready-to-drink liquid sachet.
SiPore® dose per serving: Glucose Stabilizer delivers 0.375g per capsule. Carb Fence delivers 3g per sachet.
Daily maximum: Glucose Stabilizer is taken across meals throughout the day. Carb Fence can be taken up to three times per day, with a maximum of 9g of SiPore® daily. That maximum has been evaluated in the SHINE pivotal trial with no serious device-related adverse events reported.
Product category: Glucose Stabilizer is a dietary supplement. Carb Fence is a medical food.
Availability: Glucose Stabilizer is available directly to consumers. Carb Fence is available through healthcare practitioners.
One rule that applies to both
Whether you are using Glucose Stabilizer or Carb Fence, there is one rule that always applies: one meal, one product.
Do not use both at the same meal. Choose one based on the meal and what you are trying to support. Using both together at the same meal is not recommended and does not add benefit.
Which one is right for you?
If you are looking for everyday metabolic support, a consistent daily habit that helps moderate post-meal responses across all your meals, Glucose Stabilizer is the right starting point. It is accessible, flexible, and designed for long-term daily use.
If you are looking for stronger per-meal support, particularly around larger or higher-carbohydrate meals, and you are working with a healthcare provider on a more structured metabolic health goal, Carb Fence may be the more appropriate option. Speak with your healthcare provider about whether it is right for your circumstances.
Some people use Glucose Stabilizer day to day and consult with a healthcare provider about Carb Fence for specific contexts. That kind of flexible, goal-oriented approach is consistent with how both products are designed to work.
Both work best alongside balanced meals, regular movement, adequate sleep, and consistent lifestyle habits. Neither is a replacement for those foundations. Results vary between individuals.
Less impact per meal. Stability over time.

Can I use Glucose Stabilizer and Carb Fence together?
They are not intended to be used together at the same meal. Choose the product that fits that meal or context, and speak with your healthcare provider if you are unsure which approach is right for you.
Do Glucose Stabilizer and Carb Fence use the same technology?
Yes. Both are powered by the same patented SiPore® technology. Glucose Stabilizer is a dietary supplement in capsule form designed for everyday, flexible use, while Carb Fence is a medical food in liquid sachet form designed for larger or higher-carbohydrate meals under healthcare supervision.
